Notch Signaling

The notch signaling pathway regulates cell fate during development and plays an important role in adult tissue homeostasis. The pathway is activated when membrane bound ligands (e.g., DII1) activate the notch receptors (e.g., NOTCH1-4) on neighboring cells. This pathway has been implicated in malignant tumor transformation.
