Collagen Induced Arthritis Model

The type II collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) mouse model is the most widely used model to study rheumatoid arthritis (RA). At GemPharmatech, we provide a well validated CIA model that can be used for preclinical studies and efficacy evaluation of RA therapeutics.

Fig.1 Collagen-induced arthritis model

The collagen-induced arthritis model strategy is shown in Fig.1A. After first immunizing DBA mice for 25 days, the clinical score of the mice in the model group increased (Fig.1C). The thickness changes of the left and right hind limbs of DBA mice can be seen in Fig.1B. The level of mouse Anti-Bovine Type II Collagen IgG Antibody in the serum increased in model group (Fig.1D). The results of mice cytokine detection showed that the expression level of TNFa was significantly increased, and the expression of other cytokines was also improved (Fig.1E).
