Neurodegenerative Disease Mouse Models
Neurodegenerative diseases (NDDs) are a collection of neurological disorders that cause damage or dysfunction in neurons, including axons, dendrites, synapses, and associated glial cells throughout the nervous system. Acute NDDs include cerebral ischemia (CI), brain injury (BI), and epilepsy. Chronic NDDs include Alzheimer's disease (AD), Parkinson's disease (PD), Huntington's disease (HD), amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).
