Wild Mouse 750
To create a novel mouse model resource with greater genetic diversity, GemPharmatech used field-captured wild mice as the donor of genetic material and generated a series of new inbred strains through multi-generation cross breeding and genetic screening. In each one of such strains, only one chromosome is different from the parental inbred strain. Through primary phenotypic screening and systematic validation, we selected strains susceptible to metabolic diseases, such as obesity, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, and metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis. These strains provide a new toolset for pathogenesis research and therapeutic evaluation.
