From Off-the-Shelf to Purpose-Built: Optimizing Mouse Models for Mechanistic and Translational Research

Selecting the right disease model remains a critical challenge in biomedical research. Leveraging GemPharmatech’s well-established technologies and experience from the development of nearly 30,000 mouse models, we provide both rapid access to validated models and highly customized solutions to address diverse research needs.
At the core of this effort is our Knockout All Project (KOAP), a large-scale initiative to systematically generate knockout (KO) and conditional knockout (cKO) mouse strains for approximately 23,000 protein-coding genes in the mouse genome. Our KOAP repository offers immediate access to over 25,000 ready-to-use KO and cKO strains, complemented by more than 250 Cre driver and tool lines to support conditional and tissue-specific studies.
This webinar will also highlight our end-to-end Model Customization Services, including KO, cKO, KI, point mutation, transgenic, and multi-targeting models. Using high-throughput genome-editing platforms, we deliver F1 generation mice within six months, accelerating research from proof-of-concept to mechanistic investigation.
Key points include:
Insights into current strategies for mouse genome modification
How GemPharmatech's Knockout All Project supports investigation of biological pathways and drug target validation
Applications of KO and cKO mouse models across diverse disease areas
How customized model generation services can streamline projects from experimental design to data generation
Practical considerations for planning, validation, and utilization of engineered mouse models
